Nielsen Holdings Plc. Earning Review Report 2015

The year 2015 has been an excellent year for Nielsen Holdings Plc., posting a higher
revenue growth than the firm did in 2014. Free cash flow also increased due to the expansion
witnessed by the enterprise. Revenue grew by five percent, having improved by half a point
from the growth of income registered in 2014. There was an increase of 12.4 percent per share
on the attuned net income while the flow of cash in the company grew by eighteen percent
above the previous year’s record, posting a whopping $804 million. The flow became an
unprecedented growth with the firm striving to build on this benchmark. It will be made
possible by the robust flow of currency which will provide flexibility in investing in other
initiatives. Additionally, the shareholders have received much from the increased flow of cash.
In 2015, the shareholders received over $1 billion in the form of dividends.
In the same year, Nielsen registered an increase in the share buyback to $850 million.
The firm’s developing markets grew by 8.4 percent in 2015. The attuned net revenue was $975
million at the close of the year, marking an 8.5 percent growth from the revenue projections in
the previous year. The fourth quarter of the year saw the firm grow steadily recording the
company’s revenue collection at $1.6 billion, which was a 5.6 percent increase from the

Such developments are accredited to various improvements in the firm’s operations. For
instance, the company realized growth in its marketing which increased its effectiveness by
31.3 percent in 2015 making portfolios in eXelate and NCS better which realized most revenue
increments.
