HELP WITH FEMALE ORGASMS

The article “How to help your female partner have orgasms” by Dr. David Delvin and Christine Webber seeks to assist men in identifying ways to helping their partner’s orgasm. They are cautious in handling the issue in more than one way. First, they do not jump into the issue head first. Instead, they take the reader slowly into getting a good idea of what an orgasm would comprise. They point out orgasms have until recently met with a lot of opposition for the female gender. In this paper I seek to analyse their paper to see how accurate hey have been in their research, what has been omitted and what could have been added to serve the audience better.

Delvin and Welber have a clear and easy plan as to how a female orgasm would be better expected. They argue that the female orgasm is not mechanical. A female orgasm has to be supported by certain factors to be successful. First, a female orgasm needs a romantic atmosphere. This is complementary of past studies which have stated that sex is likely to be more satisfying in a right atmosphere. Women often need a secure place to have their sex in. The two writers also argue that for orgasm to be more probable, women need to be with someone they really like. They also need to feel loved and appreciated for them to orgasm. According to Rhodan, women are half as likely to orgasm with someone they are not sure about than with someone with whom they are in a stable relationship.

Women, according to Delvin and Welber, women need to get lubricated for easy sex that does not cause too much friction to her body. This would often mean using water based lubricants, engaging longer in foreplay and making the woman feel more comfortable. This is a good and viable point. It shows, again, the importance of making sure that the woman is comfortable. According to a research by Salisbury and William (616), both men and women recognize the role of making sure the woman is comfortable is a man’s. With this regard, a man will only be performing his role to ensure the woman is comfortable.

Finally, Delvin and Welber recommend the direct stimulation of the clitoris. Numerous studies have shown that the clitoris needs to be stimulated directly with fingers or the mouth. For this reason, Delvin and Welber have valid ideas in this case.

However, their article fails to mention one very important aspect of this topic. They do not acknowledge the fact that orgasms do not always imply satisfactions. Researchers have shown that it is possible to orgasm during unsatisfyng sex. It would therefore be pointless to pursue orgasms in unsatisfying relationships.

Delvin and Welber recommend the use of lubricants, the show of love and affection in the form of kisses, consultation on the best approaches and slow sex. This way, they argue that the sex experience will reap more yields. Sex should actually be consultative. If one person is uncomfortable, they should voice their demands and contribute towards better experiences.

In conclusion, the sex experience should be approached with caution and care. While orgasms are the only way to show satisfaction in sex, researchers argue that they cannot be relied upon. For this reason, articles such as this should be taken with a pinch of salt. The information in this article can however been relied upon towards more seemingly satisfying sex for both men and women.
