CYBER CRIMES

Question 1

Often, we believe that the right to privacy is being invoked by these advertisements. They are often related to the content one is covering on the page. This implies someone who gets a glimpse of what is being advertised on the page you are reading will have an idea of what you are reading. If it was something you needed to keep private you, fail at this point. The advertisements also make one feel tracked as a third party software can access what you are studying to allocate you adverts.

I feel that some adverts invoke the privacy of an individual directly. These adverts are mostly allocated on the history on the computer you are using. They tend to want to predict the personality of an individual by checking on his history.

While most of these adverts are based on the consent of an individual, others are allocated without one. These companies should at least have the courtesy to consult with the individuals. Sometimes, however, these adverts are placed in return for the use of certain online services like search engines and mail services. Individuals who don’t wish to be tracked this way should opt for paid services.

Question 2

The court determined that Byce did not obtain the source code by improper means. Instead, they argued that he did not obtain it at all but instead had access to it throughout owing to his contribution to its creation. This however did not exempt him from the misappropriation of the source code. His working with the company is what enabled him continued access to the code (Ferrera 221).

Question 3

The negotiation tactics of Byce failed him. If I were Bryce, I would have negotiated for a co-founder status in the company. His main interest was that he did not get sufficient returns from the work and contribution he had done. In his shoes, I would have considered discussing the matter with my former brother in law so that at the least my shares grew with the company.
