Apple Inc. – Partial Analysis for Employment

Apple Inc. is a multinational whose main activities involve the production, design and marketing of mobile communication equipments, media devices, portable music players, personal computers and a variety of related software, services, networking resolutions, and third party digital content and appliances. Apple’s headquarters are in Cupertino California, and has over four hundred and twenty-five retail stores in over fourteen countries. Most of its products are manufactured through a manufacturing company known as Foxconn that is currently the largest electronic manufacturing company worldwide (Abraham, 2014).

Apple is renowned for its variety of products. It is also famous for its culture of innovation and teamwork. This is a very definite factor in the survival of any manufacturing company. The company has a mission to produce the best products in the areas of their fields of specialization and is founded on the power of man over his environment (Hinds et al., 2010).

The major political factors that support Apple include its partnering with Foxconn, the company that is infamous for disregarding workers’ rights in China and other countries. Apple has however tried to resolve the issues and is on the track towards resolution. Apple is also in conflict with authorities over environmental conservation. It is however trying to resolve the issue using a multitude of strategies. The company stands as the most recognized brand worldwide followed by Coca-Cola. It is also the most valuable technological company and the second largest producer of mobile devices after Samsung (Han & Park, 2010).

I would be interested to work in Apple Inc. as a retail and distribution manager. This is in order to participate in the distribution of its first class products. I also intend to help in the improvement of its sales amounts by increasing its retails outlets and by exploring new markets for Apple (Garsten, 1994). This way, I will directly influence the decisions that Apple takes on other issues in terms of compliance of ethical issues, and environmental conservation laws.

In conclusion, my main interest with working with the company is based on its leadership in the industry. I intend to work with Apple because it has been able to command its industry and come among the top companies in every aspect (Finkle & Mallin, 2010). I also want to work in an organization that has a culture such as that of Apple.
